Dan McGee is an upcoming composer who's music is infused with "pop" and modern classical music. Between writing for electronics, chamber and large ensemble, he loves collaborating with singer-songwriters to find a balance with new music and pop. He previously studied composition with Dr. Cynthia Van Maanen, and percussion with Keith Aleo, at Interlochen Arts Academy. He was a finalist for the Morton Gould Young Composer Award which was awarded by the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) and has his Carnegie Hall premiere on May 3rd, 2018 performed by the New York Youth Symphony chamber ensemble program.
Currently, he is studying with Timo Andres and Molly Joyce while attending New England Conservatory studying with Kati Agócs.
