Dan McGee is an upcoming composer who's music is infused with "pop" and modern classical music. He has previously studied composition and percussion at Interlochen Arts Academy with Keith Aleo and Dr. Cynthia Van Maanen. His music has been described as "emotionally captivating" and "rhythmically intriguing" by performers of his works. He was a finalist for the Morton Gould Young Composer Award which was awarded by the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) and he is currently working on his Carnegie Hall premier which will take place on May 3rd, 2018 performed by the New York Youth Symphony chamber ensemble program.
Currently, he is studying with Timo Andres and Molly Joyce while attending New England Conservatory studying with Kati Agócs.
